Generals Add Brett Tryder as Director of Northeast Scouting

The Northeast Generals are very excited to add Brett Tryder as our Director of Northeast Scouting.

“Brett will cover New Hampshire and north of that for us.  He will give us a great presence in that area with prep schools and other high level players.  I think Brett will be a huge addition to our staff as he shares the same philosophies the Generals organization prides itself on.  He also has great experience as a player and a Head Coach at the NCAA level.”  Said Bryan Erikson the Generals Head Coach and General Manager.

.A native of Melrose, Massachusetts, Brett Tryder takes the position of Director of Northeast Scouting for the Northeast Generals. Tryder’s coaching experience includes a ten year stint at Plymouth State University where he spent seven years as the universities Head Coach as well as eight years in junior hockey with the New England Wolves, Connecticut Nighthawks, and his current position as Head Coach/ General Manager of the Seacoast Spartans EHL program.

Tryder had a successful playing career at Melrose High School where he had 100 points in his three years as a Red Raider. In 1989 he broke the all-time, single season, scoring record at Hockey Night in Boston, which was previously held by Bobby Carpenter and Mike Kelfer. Tryder played his college hockey at both Salem State University and Fitchburg State University.

Tryder added, “I am very excited to be joining the Northeast Generals scouting team. They are a first class organization with first class facilities. I believe that this will be a great fit.”
