Rob Liberatore, Director of Scouting

Rob brings a great hockey mind to the Generals and has been involved scouting in the NAHL, USHL and T1EHL.  He does a great job of communicating with the players and parents and has been a huge asset to the Generals.  Rob played for the Boston Advantage, Valley Jr. Warriors and at UMASS Boston, NCAA.

Cody Gonyeau, Assistant General Manager, Head Scout

Cody Gonyeau is entering his second season with the Northeast Generals. Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Gonyeau played for Sault High Blue Devil Hockey and graduated in 2009’. After, he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education from Central Michigan University.

This season, Gonyeau will serve as Head Coach for the Cleveland Barons Elite U14, T1EHL. Last season he was Head Coach for the Cleveland Wildcats U15 team organized by Saint Ignatius High School. There, he spent 3 season coaching within the SIHS coaching staff through JV Selects, Varsity Gold, & U15s. He also works as Hybrid Scout for Neutral Zone Scouting, identifying players throughout the country on a highly established prospects ranking system. Gonyeau is a Development Coach for Ohio Hockey Projects assisting with player development, mentorship, career advancement, and junior hockey education.

Cory Hunt, Director Of Player Personnel

Cory Hunt is in his 3rd season with the Northeast Generals.  His recent promotion to the Director of Player Personnel comes after the previous two seasons as the Assistant General Manager and Head Scout of Generals. In his first two seasons Cory helped the Generals recruit some of their top players.  Prior to his role with Northeast, he spent time as a Scout with the Michigan Warriors and the Springfield Jr. Blues.

Cory heavily recruits the NA3HL and has recruited four NA3HL players the past two season to play in the NAHL with three of them committing to play Division 1 hockey.

Cory and his wife Katie currently live in Cottage Grove, Minnesota with their two sons Carsen, 7, and Brody, 2.

Rob Himberg, Director of Midget Scouting

Rob Himberg is the Northeast Generals, Director of Midget Scouting. Rob has been a long time employee and Coach with Lovell Hockey and the Boston Advantage. After finishing his outstanding High School career Rob went on to play at Norwich University.

Rob is the Head Coach of the U16 Boston Advantage team that plays in the T1EHL.
He brings an extensive background on the bench and on the ice to the Generals where his familiarity with the Tier 1 Elite League will prove invaluable in helping the Generals identify top players from the best Midget league in the United States.

Mike Sadjadi, Director of Minnesota Scouting

Michael Sadjadi grew up playing high-school hockey at prestigious Shattuck St. Mary’s (Faribault, MN). After Shattuck, he went on to play for the Chatham Maroons Western Ontario Hockey League (Chatham, ON – WOHL), where he and his goalie partner combined for the leagues lowest Goals Against Average (GAA) and won the league championship. The next season he played for the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior A Hockey League (Portage, Manitoba – MJHL). After junior hockey, Mike moved on to the professional level to play for the Fayetteville Fire-Antz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (Fayetteville, NC – SPHL); however, sidelined with a career-ending hand injury Mike became a student at the University of Akron (Ohio) and pursued a degree in Labor Economics.
During his freshman year, Michael began coaching the University of Akron club hockey team and was named the head coach his junior year. During Mike’s senior year, he was asked to represent the Tri-State Colligate Hockey League (TSCHL) as co-head coach of the all-star team for the American Colligate Hockey Association (ACHA) showcase weekend. Since college, Mike moved back to Minnesota where he pursued a career in finance starting as a bank teller at TCF Bank and eventually working his way to management. Mike then transitioned from banking to finance and holds a Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA securities licenses.
Currently, Mike is an assistant coach with the Metro Northwest (Green Giants) a fall all-star team consisting of elite Minnesota high-school players.
